A little chat about alcohol....
When it comes to alcohol there are many long and short-term (besides the hangover!) of drinking alcohol. A recent study suggested that we shouldn’t be consuming any alcohol at all. Easy for some, not so easy for others!
Alcohol affects a lot of body systems and organs, including the brain, heart, gut, liver and it also can weaken our immune system!
When it comes to alcohol we need to consider the type of alcohol we are drinking, how often we drink and how much we drink.
Alcohol depletes B vitamins, Zinc and also affects our gut microbiome.
If you are going to drink then always make sure you eat prior to starting, you space your drinks out and drink water in-between every drink!
