Nutty Banana Ice Cream

This ice cream is so easy to make and is a delicious treat throughout the day or after dinner.

Ingredients:

4 ripe banana’s (frozen)

1 cup raw cashews

1/2 cup Almond Spread

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup hulled tahini 

2 tsp vanilla bean extract

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground sea salt

Optional - crushed raw cashews, cacao nibs, cacao powder or bits of dark chocolate 

Method

  1. Place all ingredients except for any optional ingredients into a food processor and process until creamy. Scraping down the sides a couple of times as needed. 

  2. Taste. If you prefer more sweetness then add a small amount of maple syrup and blend through

  3. Mix in by hand any or multiple of the optional ingredients listed or add any you like to taste. 

  4. Serve immediately 

Note: if you have frozen the bananas with the skin on allow to defrost for a few minutes to make them easier to peel

Store in an airtight container and transfer to the freezer. Remove 15-20 mins before eating.
